Competition Format: The competition consists of two stages, Stage 1 (Preliminary Round) and Stage 2 (Grand Finale).

Stage 1 (Preliminary Round): Video submission round.

Stage 2 (Grand Finale): Live performance event at Jeffrey Cheah Hall at Sunway University
1. Date: Saturday, 22nd November 2025.
2. Venue: Sunway University, 5, Jalan Universiti, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

A. COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

This competition is open to all students aged 18 to 40, both local and international, from higher education institutions and performing arts schools across Malaysia.
Participants may only participate once. Multiple entries are not allowed.
All employees of the Organiser and Co-Organiser, their immediate family members, and past winners of the i Capital Talent Show are not eligible for participation.
Registration fee of RM20 applies to each entry.
Teams can consist of just one person or any number of members. There is no limit to team size. Use your own discretion when forming teams. Stage dimensions and layout can be found under the ‘Floor Plan’ tab to assist with planning and coordination.
Successful registrants will receive a confirmation email from the Organiser.
Early registration is encouraged for timely updates.
All talents will be considered but are subject to Terms & Conditions [See F, 7-10]

B. STAGE 1: REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION

Deadline: 24th October 2025, 5.00 p.m. (GMT+8). Late submissions will not be accepted.
Registration Fee: RM20 per entry. Entry without payment will not be accepted.Registration fees are non-refundable after submission.
Video Requirements:
1. Orientation: Landscape (16:9)
2. Duration: Maximum 2 minutes of the performance.
  Self-Introduction: Include a brief introduction (no longer than 1 minute) before the performance.
  - (Total video length: ≤3 minutes)
3. Language: Any language may be used
  - For acts involving speaking in a language other than English, subtitles are required.
4. Originality: Video must be created specifically for this competition. Videos of previous performances will not be allowed for submission.
5. Credits: All information, music, images and/or graphics that are presented in the videos must be cited, giving credit to the original sources.
  
  The Organiser and judges reserve the right to disqualify or edit any video that does not comply with the above requirements.
Upload: Video may be hosted and uploaded on any public media platform (Example: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok).
1. Teams must ensure that the video link and profile are accessible to the public.
2. Teams will share the video link in their submission form.
3. Any video that is not accessible will not be accepted.
4. Caption or Title of the Video must consist of:
  1. 2025 i Capital Talent Show
  2. Team name
  3. Type of Talent
  4. Copy and Paste Hashtags: #2025icapitaltalentshow
Only online registrations via the website will be accepted.
Successful registrations must include all the required registration information and proof of payment. This includes the performance video link. Incomplete registrations will not be processed.
Successful registrations will receive a confirmation email from the Organiser.
Communication with the Organiser will be conducted via official channels: WhatsApp and Email. Please ensure you have provided the correct contact information.

C. STAGE 2: LIVE GRAND FINALE

The Grand Finale will take place on 22nd November 2025 at Jeffrey Cheah Hall, Sunway University, Petaling Jaya
Teams will be called up to perform in the plug-and-play format. If more time is needed to set up or prepare, teams must inform the Organiser once they are notified of being shortlisted.
Teams must bring their own instruments and/or props. Only a piano, drum set, and microphones will be provided.
Teams whose performances involve singing or music must submit their audio tracks in MP3 format (minus one for vocal performances) to the Organiser once they are notified of being shortlisted.
Finalist performances must be between 4 to 7 minutes long. Marks will be deducted for performances shorter than 4 minutes or exceeding 7 minutes.
Live performances can be in any language.

D. JUDGING CRITERIA FOR STAGE 1 & 2

The finalists will be determined by the following criteria in Stages 1 and 2 of the competition:
1. Showmanship,
2. Creativity,
3. Technical Execution,
4. Audience Connection.
Three judges from different backgrounds will be selected to award marks for Stages 1 and 2 of the competition. Judges will be announced at a later date.
All judges' decisions are final.
In the unlikely case there are fewer than 20 entries, the Organiser reserves the right to select fewer than 20 finalists.
Stage 1:
1. 20 submissions with the highest total marks will be selected to compete in Stage 2 (Grand Finale).
2. Out of the 20 submissions, the ones with the most likes (or equivalent) will stand a chance to win the Most Popular Award.
Stage 2:
1. Champion, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, Consolation Prizes and Most Original Performance will be marked and awarded 100% by judges.
2. The Best Dressed Award will be determined based on audience voting during the Live Grand Finale.

F. TERMS & CONDITIONS

“Organiser” means Capital Dynamics and icapital.biz Berhad, while “Co-Organiser” means Sunway University.

By participating in the Competition, you are taken to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Contest Terms & Conditions, and accept that all decisions by the Organiser are final and binding. The Organiser reserves the right to change, amend, add or delete any of the Competition Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice to you.
We do not discriminate against anyone based on race, ability, sexual orientation or gender expression to the extent prohibited by law.
As all judges' decisions are final, the Organiser will only entertain complaints and disputes that are related to the violation of the Terms and Conditions.
Teams must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
Any form of harassment, misconduct, or violation of event rules may result in immediate disqualification.
Video and live performances must not contain any material that are lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, disparaging, defamatory, libelous, illegal, offensive, or otherwise contain inappropriate content or objectionable material that would be considered as a criminal offence or that violates any laws.
Video and live performances must be appropriate for viewing by the public and by a multi-cultural international community. No political or inflammatory material will be accepted.
All performances and submissions must be free of political, religious, or inappropriate content. This includes material that may be offensive, discriminatory, or not suitable for a general audience. “Inappropriate content” refers to, but is not limited to, the use of vulgar language, sexually explicit material, hate speech, or content that promotes violence or illegal activities.
All content should be respectful and “family-oriented,” meaning it should be suitable for audiences of all ages. Performances should avoid controversial political messages, religious preaching, or jokes targeting specific groups. Organiser reserves the right to determine if teams have met these requirements.
The talent selected on the entry form must remain consistent throughout the competition.
1. For example: if the team selected vocals as their category, one song can be performed in the video for Stage 1 but a different song/an extended version of the song can be performed live in Stage 2, on 22nd November 2025. However, the team may not switch to another talent than the one chosen on the entry form.
Team member changes are permitted up to one (1) week before the Grand Finale, subject to prior notice and approval from the Organiser.
By participating in the Competition, you warrant that all statements made by you, or personal details provided by you, are true, correct, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
By entering the Competition, you represent and affirm that your participation is an original creative work, and where it is not, that you shall provide credit to the original source. You also represent and affirm that your participation does not infringe, misappropriate or violate the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual rights of any third party.
The Organiser reserves the right and has the exclusive discretion to select, substitute, or modify the panel of judges for the Competition at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any team for any reason at their absolute discretion, including but not limited to, violation of the Terms and Conditions.
All costs and expenses incurred in accordance with your participation in the Competition are your sole responsibility and shall be fully borne by you.
Only when the Competition is cancelled will the Organiser refund the registration fee to you. The Organiser reserves the right to deduct any administrative fee and/or expenses incurred before refunding the registration fee to you.
The Organiser and Co-Organiser shall not be held responsible or liable for any illness and/or personal injury to you, or loss and/or damage to your personal property.
You agree to not hold the Organiser and Co-Organiser responsible or to indemnify the Organiser, Co-Organiser and/or their affiliates against all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities, disputes and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Competition including but not limited to any infringement, misappropriation or violation of copyright, trademark or other intellectual rights of any third party.
In the case of unforeseeable events, the Organiser reserves the right to postpone, reschedule or cancel the Competition, and/or reschedule or modify the format or any requirements of the Competition in any way at any point of time in its sole discretion without prior notice.
You acknowledge that by submitting your personal details, you agree to allow the Organiser to access, collect, process, use and share your personal data only for publicity or commercial purposes or for the purposes of any future promotion or marketing efforts by the Organiser.
The Organiser is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal data of all teams in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), and undertakes not to disclose, reveal, share, transfer, sell, or rent any of the personal data unless it is strictly for the above mentioned purposes, for legal regulatory and compliance purposes, or where otherwise required by law.
The Organiser shall comply with relevant privacy policies in respect of your personal data. The Organiser holds the right to retain the personal data collected from you for a necessary period or for a period that follows legal and regulatory requirements, or for the purpose of protecting the interests of the Organiser.
By entering the Competition, you agree that any material submitted and any eventual live performance by you, as well as recordings of the same, may be broadcast, streamed, or used in any manner by the Organiser at no cost and without further consultation. You grant the Organiser exclusive rights over any material submitted and any eventual live performance. The Organiser reserves the right to publicise and promote the videos and any eventual live performance for its own purposes, and all work will be credited to the creators. The winning video submissions and recordings of live performances may be branded with the Organiser' logo at its own discretion. The Organiser reserves the right to utilise all videos submitted and recordings of any eventual live performances in any of the following but not limited to marketing, information, education, promotional, publication or commercial use by the Organiser.
You also consent that:
1. You must provide high-resolution images of yourselves for promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and digital advertisements related to the competition and its sponsors.
2. Your names, university affiliations, and brief profiles will be publicly announced and displayed on event websites, social media platforms, and press releases.
3. The Organiser will be entitled to mention/tag you on the Organiser’s social media posts.
4. You will need to share your achievements on your personal and/or university’s social media pages with appropriate hashtags and tag the Organiser on the Organiser’s social media as provided below:

When requested by the Organiser:
1. You will participate in interviews or webinars in regard to the competition.
2. You will provide testimonials or endorsements about your experience, which can be used in future promotional materials.
3. You will attend and participate in the Organiser’s future events as a performer.
4. You will not disparage or encourage others to disparage the Organiser’s companies. The term “disparage” includes but not limited to any comments or statements made by any medium in the press and/or the media about the Organiser’s companies which would adversely affect any manner of the conduct of the business of the companies, without limitations to the companies’ business plans or prospects or the business reputation of the companies.
5. You agree not to make or publish any false, misleading, or malicious statements whether oral, written, or digital that are intended to harm the reputation, operations, employees, clients, or partners of the Organiser. This includes social media posts, public speeches, interviews, or any form of media communication. This clause does not restrict teams from expressing personal opinions or providing constructive feedback in good faith, as long as it does not violate any legal rights or policies of the Organiser and Co-Organiser.
These Terms and Conditions contain the entire agreement between you, the Organiser, and Co-Organiser.
If any of the rules and/or portion thereof in this Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any Malaysian court of competent jurisdiction, such rules and/or portion thereof shall be rendered ineffective and shall not invalidate and/or render unenforceable the remaining rules in the Terms and Conditions.
Any express or implied waiver to perform any obligations under these Terms & Conditions is not permitted and will be invalid.
A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no legal right under the Malaysian Contracts Act 1950 or under common law to enforce any rule of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions shall be construed, governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. In the event of any dispute or in relation to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, which cannot be resolved amicably, such dispute or differences shall be settled between the Organiser and the team.
If either party is prevented from performing any of its obligations hereunder due to any cause which is beyond the non-performing party's reasonable control, including fire, explosion, flood, virus outbreaks or other acts of God; acts, regulations, or laws of any government; war or civil commotion; strike, lock-out or labour disturbances; or failure of public utilities or common carriers (a "Force Majeure Event"), such non-performing party shall not be liable for failure to perform any obligation under the Terms and Conditions with respect to such non-performance to the extent any such non-performance is due to a Force Majeure Event.
