SEMI-chat - On the Semiconductor Industry

The semiconductor industry has never been more talked about: AI, trade wars, supply chain shifts, and Malaysia's National Semiconductor Strategy. The E&E sector secured RM28.5 bln in approved investments in 2025 alone. Semiconductor exports reached approximately RM389 bln, making up nearly half of Malaysia's total exports.

What does the industry look like from the inside? How do these businesses really operate? What are the opportunities that most people never hear about?

That is what SEMI-chat is for.

SEMI-chat is a unique fireside series organized by the ICAP Fan Club, moderated by Teng Boo. Each session is an intimate, no frills candid conversation on semiconductors as an investment, and industry.

For the inaugural Ipoh session, Teng Boo will be joined by Kevin Khoo, Senior Vice President & Group COO of Unisem, a key figure behind Unisem's impressive growth as one of Malaysia's leading OSAT. Having Kevin in the room is a genuinely rare opportunity.

SEMI-chat will be travelling to cities across Malaysia, bringing the same candour and quality of conversation to ICAP Fan Club communities nationwide. Other dates and cities to be announced soon.
